Privacy and Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Picupnews publishes news on picupnews.com, tr.picupnews.com and in the Picupnews mobile app (together, the “Services”). This policy explains what information is processed when you use the Services, why it is processed, who receives it and what choices you have. Picupnews articles are produced with the help of automated tools and AI; this does not involve processing any personal data about our readers.

1. Who is responsible

The Services are operated by:

YÜ-SER Emlak İnşaat Taahhüt Limited Şirketi
Emek Mah. Bişkek Cad. No: 125-127 İç Kapı No: 16, Çankaya / Ankara, Türkiye
MERSİS No: 0988006639800018
E-mail: info@picupnews.com
Phone: +90 850 304 06 82

2. What information we process

  • No accounts, no comments. You can read Picupnews without registering. We do not ask for your name, e-mail address or any other personal details, and comments are disabled.
  • Technical data. When you visit the websites, your browser automatically sends technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, the page you came from, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit. This data is recorded in server logs and, where you allow it, by the analytics and advertising services described below.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See section 4.
  • Messages you send us. If you e-mail us, we process your e-mail address and the content of your message only to answer you.

3. Why we process it

  • To run and protect the Services – delivering pages, preventing abuse and fixing errors (our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website).
  • To understand our audience – counting visits and seeing which stories are read, using Google Analytics (based on your consent where the law requires it).
  • To show advertising – the Services are free and financed by advertising from Google AdSense and Google AdMob (based on your consent where the law requires it).
  • To answer your messages – when you contact us.

Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies – for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland – we ask for it through a consent message before such cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use the following types:

  • Essential cookies remember choices you make on the site, such as dismissing the cookie notice.
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics measure how the site is used. You can block them with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Advertising cookies from Google AdSense and its partners.

Google advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our websites or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our websites and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu. More information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the site may not work as intended, and you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.

5. Picupnews mobile app

  • The app does not require an account. Your language, theme and saved stories are stored only on your device and are not sent to us.
  • The app loads news from picupnews.com and tr.picupnews.com; these requests include technical data such as your IP address.
  • Ads in the app are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address (from which an approximate location can be estimated), device information, your interactions with the app such as app launches and ad views, and diagnostic data about the performance of the app and the ads SDK. Google uses this data to show and measure ads, for analytics and to prevent fraud. This data is not linked to your identity, because the app has no accounts. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google’s consent form asks for your choice first; you can change it at any time under Settings → Privacy choices in the app. On iOS, personalised ads are only shown if you allow tracking when the app asks.
  • You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).

6. Who receives your data

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers that make the Services work: Google (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google AdMob) and our hosting provider. Google may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States.

7. How long we keep it

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics. E-mails are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Data processed by Google is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. Residents of the EEA and the UK may also complain to their data protection authority. Residents of Türkiye have the rights listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698 (KVKK); see the Turkish version of this policy on tr.picupnews.com.

To exercise your rights, write to info@picupnews.com. Because we do not keep accounts, we may ask for information that helps us identify data relating to you (for example, the approximate date of your visit).

9. Children

The Services are general news services and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our Services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
