Bloody Night in the US: New Year’s Celebrations Shaken by Terror
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook

The US faced the dark side of terror in the early hours of the new year. Consecutive attacks in three different cities created great chaos in the country. These attacks made headlines not only with the loss of life, but also with the tension in US politics. Here are the details of the incidents and what happened next…

Vehicle Attack in New Orleans: 15 Dead
The first minutes of the new year turned into a tragedy in New Orleans. A speeding vehicle plowed into people gathered to celebrate the new year on a crowded street. According to initial information from the scene, 15 people lost their lives and many were injured. US police confirmed that the incident was a terrorist attack and began work to identify the person who carried out the attack.

Tesla Explosion in Front of Trump’s Hotel
On the same night, a Tesla vehicle exploded in front of a hotel belonging to former President Donald Trump in Washington D.C. The fact that Tesla, the symbol of electric vehicles produced by Elon Musk, was used in this attack sparked discussions on social media. There was great panic around the hotel at the time of the explosion, but no clear statement has yet been made about the target and cause of the attack.

Gun Attack on a Nightclub in New York: 11 Injured
The last stop of the bloody night was New York, the financial center of the United States. At least 11 people were injured in the armed attack on a nightclub in Manhattan. It was stated that the attack was carried out by two people, and eyewitnesses stated that the attackers covered their faces. Police teams launched a comprehensive operation to catch the attackers.

Strong Statement from Trump: “The US Has Become a Laughing Head”
Donald Trump, who appeared before the cameras after the terrorist attacks, targeted both the US administration and the Democrats. Trump heavily criticized the Biden administration, saying, “The US has become a laughing stock of the world. The Democrats should be ashamed for allowing these events to happen in our country.”

Reactions in the US Public
A great wave of anger emerged on social media after the attacks. While some criticized the security breach, others condemned politicians’ propaganda over such incidents. In particular, criticisms of Trump turning the incidents into political material came to the fore.

Conclusion: The US Started the New Year with Concern
These attacks, which took place in three different cities in one day, seem to lead to serious questioning of the US security system. The attackers have not yet been caught, and the public expects clear information about who the forces behind the attacks are.

The US started 2025 under the shadow of terrorism. The question now is: Will there be new attacks? How will the security gaps be closed? And of course, how will these attacks resonate in US politics?
